About

I’m a UI/UX designer from Minneapolis, MN.

After earning a Bachelor’s in Communications (with an interdisciplinary Design minor), I completed my Master's in Teaching and taught high school English for several years.

Teaching through the pandemic required that I redesign my materials for virtual learning — which led me to (unknowingly at the time) lean into principles of UI/UX design. The positive impact of my design forward approach on student outcomes was immediately noticeable and served as a catalyst for my career change.

I've always been a creative thinker/problem solver that is able to consider the big picture while simultaneously keeping a keen eye on the details. During my time in the classroom, I prioritized developing student-centered lessons that were clear, accessible, and thoughtfully engaging. As a UI/UX designer, I strive to incorporate those same principles to create human-centered designs.

Odds & ends that may or may not impact my work:

I have deuteranomaly (red/green colorblind).

My master's explored building empathy.

I coach high school
speech and debate.

I am an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan.
